About Milnerton Primary School
Milnerton Primary School follows the National Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statement (CAPS) as prescribed by the Department of Basic Education and the Western Cape Education Department.
Learner progress is assessed through a combination of formal and continuous assessments conducted each term. Academic reports are issued at the end of every term, followed by parent-teacher meetings at the beginning of the next term to discuss learner progress.

Where additional support is required, learners are referred to the School-Based Support Team (SBST). A collaborative meeting is then arranged with parents, the class teacher, and the SBST to develop a suitable support plan.
The School Governing Body (SGB) works in partnership with the school to support quality education. Its role is to help set the school’s policies, oversee finances and resources, and promote the best interests of learners, staff, and the wider school community.
